Are you ready to make a significant impact on a transformative project? Fletcher Construction is seeking a talented and innovative Senior Quality Engineer for Te Wai Takamori o Te Awa Kairangi (Te Awa Kairangi).


About the Role

In this role, you’ll lead quality assurance processes for a major project, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and smooth handover of deliverables.

  • Implement and monitor the project quality plan and objectives
  • Coordinate quality requirements for subcontractor activities and testing
  • Manage Work Plans, Workpacks, and ensure documentation is complete
  • Conduct audits, inspections, and close out quality issues promptly
  • Investigate and resolve non-conformance incidents
  • Support training and promote quality awareness across the project

What you’ll bring to the role

  • Civil Engineering qualification 
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in engineering or quality assurance roles
  • Previous experience in quality systems and document management
  • Strong understanding of ISO 9001 principles and project processes
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and maintain attention to detail

About Te Awa Kairangi 

Te Awa Kairangi Alliance is delivering transport, walking and cycling improvements to the SH2 Melling interchange and rail station, as part of a wider flood protection and city revitalisation programme.  Fletcher Construction is working with Alliance partners AECOM, NZTA, Taranaki Whānui and Ngāti Toa Rangatira to deliver this transformative project.
