Description

Higgins have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Bay of Plenty Region Team, based at the branch in Mount Maunganui. 

Reporting to the Regional Commercial Manager, you’ll need to hit the ground running and be comfortable carrying out all aspects of Quantity Surveying. You will be joining a small team where you can lead from the front with your knowledge and experience of civil roading projects! We have a strong pipeline of work, and you will have the opportunity to continue to be exposed to a variety of projects.

What you'll bring to the role:
  • Proven experience working in a contractor environment across a variety of roading/civil projects 
  • Demonstrated ability to work across multiple projects ranging in scale and complexity  
  • Proven contract administration experience with the ability to support and guide the project team on claims/commercial management 
  • Strong professional relationship building skills across a range of stakeholders, ensuring project contractual conditions are fully understood in relation to commercial delivery
  • The ability to offer advice, guidance, and support to the team and other project functions, so they can better identify and manage project cost and commercial risks
  • Ability to develop and mentor junior and intermediate members of the team
  • Proficient with  JDE, CCS Candy or Benchmark, Microsoft Project favourable
  • Sound Contractual Knowledge especially NZS 3910:2013 & NZS 3910:2023
