Senior Solutions Analyst – Workday HCM (Fixed Term Contract until June 2027)

About the Role
We’re seeking a Senior Solutions Analyst to join our People & Performance Systems team, focused on Workday HCM. This is fixed-term, hybrid role covering a parental leave period and is based in Auckland head office. This is a hands-on role where you’ll solve complex issues, design improvements, and deliver impactful solutions that improve the employee experience. You’ll work across the full lifecycle—from troubleshooting and analysis through to solution design, configuration, and implementation—while collaborating with stakeholders across the business.

Day to day you will:
  • Provide Level 2/3 technical support for Workday to resolve issues.
  • Analyse, design and implement enhancements and process improvements.
  • Translate business needs into solution design, configuration, and rollout plans.
  • Partner with end users to gather requirements and deliver effective solutions.
  • Lead design discussions, playbacks, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Configure and test changes in Workday, supporting release cycles and deployment.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to Solutions Analysts and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

About You
  • Tertiary qualification (IT, Computer Science, HR or similar)
  • Intermediate–Senior level technical expertise in configuring and supporting Workday in large or complex organisations.
  • Experience in Workday HCM is essential with proficiency in other common software applications and ICT infrastructure.
  • Proven experience in technical troubleshooting and incident management.
  • Experience handling complex incidents and enhancement delivery.
  • Ability to facilitate sessions and communicate technical concepts clearly.
  • A collaborative, customer-focused approach with a passion for delivering great service.
