Description

The Higgins team is seeking a full-time Senior Traffic Supervisor to join their operations on the Eastern Busway Alliance. 

This leadership role involves managing and coordinating traffic operations to deliver projects safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all standards. Key responsibilities include planning work schedules, optimising resources, conducting site inspections, championing health and safety, mentoring teams, and fostering collaboration with stakeholders, all while driving operational excellence.

What you’ll bring to the role:
  • At least 7 years of experience as a Traffic Supervisor in the civil construction industry
  • The role requires an STMS CAT AB NP certification and a Minimum Class 2 License
  • In-depth knowledge of traffic management procedures, codes of practice, and industry standards.
  • Proven ability to plan and coordinate complex traffic management projects effectively.
  • Strong background in ensuring health and safety compliance on construction sites.
  • Expertise in managing and mentoring teams, including contractors and labour hires.
  • Experience conducting site inspections, audits, and signing off work to meet specifications.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Hands-on experience in managing resources to maximize efficiency 
  • Familiarity with operating and maintaining plant and equipment in line with best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to liaise effectively with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
