Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Site Engineer to join the Eastern Busways Alliance (EBA) Project. 

The alliance includes Auckland Transport, Fletcher Construction, ACCIONA, AECOM and Jacobs. We are delivering a significant project for Auckland, creating separate lanes for new high-frequency bus services to connect people from Botany, Pakuranga and the surrounding suburbs with the rail network in Panmure. 

The project includes cycling and walking paths, safety, environment and roading improvements, and a Reeves Road flyover, giving people a range of travel options and more reliable journey times. 

The purpose of this role is to provide site engineering expertise to the EBA project that effectively supports the project in attaining its business objectives and achieving excellence in its key result areas:
  • Plan & review day to day delivery of engineering aspects of the designated project works, working with the Project Engineers to ensure the works are delivered to programme and budget & meeting quality standards
  • Undertake other duties as directed by the Construction Zone Manager

What you’ll bring to the role:
  • 2+ years practical experience on civils and roading projects in an Engineering capacity on site. 
  • Technical knowledge in Construction methods including productivities 
  • A strong focus on cost control and quality outcomes. 
  • Understanding of the Construction Contracts Act and the knowledge to apply NZS3910 
  • Experience managing project resources including materials and teams/crews is favourable.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with stakeholders and clients.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and general systems aptitude.
