About the Role

As a Site Engineer, you will support the planning and delivery of civil works on the Te Awa Kairangi Alliance programme. This role is hands on and site focused, balancing on site delivery with structured planning and coordination. You will work closely with project and construction teams to translate designs into safe, well organised work on the ground.

You will take ownership of defined work areas, supporting programme, cost, quality and safety outcomes while building your experience on a complex infrastructure project.

  • Plan and review daily engineering activities to meet programme and cost targets
  • Prepare and manage construction work packs for assigned areas of work
  • Maintain accurate site records, daily diaries and cost tracking
  • Coordinate with design, safety, procurement and construction teams
  • Support construction sequencing, work methods and delivery planning
  • Help ensure site safety and environmental controls are in place and followed

What you’ll bring to the role

  • A tertiary qualification in engineering or a related discipline
  • At least two years’ experience in civil or infrastructure construction
  • Strong ability to read drawings and apply them to site activities
  • Sound understanding of construction methods and site processes
  • Clear communication skills and a collaborative working style
  • The ability to stay calm, focused and methodical in a busy site environment

About Us

We pride ourselves on safely delivering a wide variety of construction and infrastructure projects for the people of New Zealand and the South Pacific. But our power is not in what we do, it’s in who we are. We are a team of 3,700 people working under three brands: Fletcher Construction, Higgins, and Brian Perry Civil. We may be a big team, but we haven’t lost sight of what really matters: looking after our people.

We recognise that treating our people well is only partially about what happens during work hours. It’s also about the impact we have outside of work hours too. That’s why we have incredible learning and development opportunities for staff and their families, support systems and generous corporate discounts.
