Description

Who We Are

We’re one of Australia’s biggest and most trusted names in sheds and patios. We’re big enough to have a national network of local shed experts, plus a manufacturing and distribution network that serves the nation, as part of the Stramit family.

We’re also part of one of Australia’s biggest building industry families – Fletcher Building Australia – alongside TradeLink, Oliveri, Laminex and more.

But we’re also small enough to know what our customers want as people – with us, we know that what works for one person, won’t for another.

The Role

We are seeking a Software Engineer – Dev Ops for a 12-month fixed-term project-based role, based in Erskine Park.

In this dynamic position, you will collaborate closely with team members and stakeholders to understand and meet their operational requirements. You will be instrumental in developing new cloud-based services while monitoring and maintaining our existing in-house systems and customer-facing web services, offering timely developer support to address production issues and bugs, ensuring minimal disruption to our operations. Additionally, you will provide accurate effort estimates for planned work, ensuring alignment with project timelines and team objectives.

Please note, due to company closure over the holiday break, we will begin to review applications at the commencement of the new year.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines utilising our cloud provider platform to enhance automation and efficiency.
  • Optimize and integrate current deployment pipelines, focusing on automated build and release processes.
  • Collaborate closely with development teams to ensure seamless integration of .NET/Node.js applications into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and continuously improve build and release workflows to ensure smooth operations.
  • Oversee SQL database monitoring and maintenance, ensuring data integrity and performance.
  • Uphold best practices in source control, testing, and deployment to maintain high-quality standards.

What we need from you:
  • Extensive experience with modern DevOps principles, with a minimum of 2-3 years of commercial experience.
  • Proven expertise with cloud provider platforms, including Azure, AWS, or GCP.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong understanding of container technologies and version control systems.
  • Familiarity with database technologies such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
  • Experience with orchestration tools, particularly Kubernetes.
  • Programming knowledge (.NET, JavaSript, TypeScript, etc) is beneficial
  • Experience in scripting automation tasks will be highly regarded
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

What we offer
  • Supportive and close-knit team of highly experienced individuals
  • Hybrid workplace: 3 dedicated onsite workdays with flexibility
  • Amazing career development, training, and progression opportunities
  • A Perkbox account – giving you 24/7 access to thousands of perks, benefits, discounts, wellbeing tools and loads more!
  • Strong Inclusion and diversity commitment to our team members including Gender affirmation leave (10 days), and LGBTQ+ Rainbow Tick accreditation.
