South Island Sales Team Leader – Hillsborough, Christchurch

About the Role
Due to an internal promotion, we are searching for a driven and people-focused South Island Sales Team Leader to lead our sales team in Christchurch whilst maintaining and growing positive business relationships. Your key responsibilities in this role will include:

  • Team Leadership: Lead and develop a high performing team, exemplifying our values – Protect, Be Bold, Better Together and Customer Leading at all times.
  • Sales and Marketing: Monitor and optimise sales performance, actively promote and sell GIB® products and systems, keeping customers updated with current marketing initiatives.
  • Business Relationships: Build and grow relationships with specifiers, customers, key accounts, and others within the building profession.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide expert advice, support and solutions in the application and installation of GIB® products and systems.
  • Planning: Develop short-term strategic sales plans and provide comprehensive reports to create alignment with business goals.

About You
We’re looking for an experienced sales leader with extensive technical knowledge of the building industry and a thorough understanding of our products and systems. Your strong technical capability and ability to effectively communicate with customers and specifiers will set you apart. Comfortable dealing with a diverse range of customers, you will thrive in presenting, engaging, influencing and problem-solving to achieve business goals and objectives. 

You’ll also need:
  • A qualification related to the building industry is highly preferential (trade or professional).
  • Long-standing experience within the building industry preferred with ability to analyse and interpret technical data, drawings or plans.
  • Proven track record in sales leadership with ability to lead and develop a team.
  • Excellent planning, communication, time-management and attention to detail.
