Are you ready to take your career to the next level? The Higgins team in Levin is now seeking a Large Excavator Operator to join the Drainage Crew. 

If you're passionate about road construction and have a keen eye for detail, we want to hear from you! Based out of our Levin branch, you will be responsible for transporting mobile plant and equipment to various sites and carrying out drainage work. This includes operating machinery such as excavators, rollers, and brooms. 


What We’re Looking For:
  • Previous experience in surfacing is essential. You’ll be operating a range of equipment, including excavators, rollers, loaders and trucks.
  • Ideally 5 year experience in 12T to 30T Diggers working on 3 waters drainage projects.
  • A minimum of a full Class 2 license with WTR endorsements.
  • This is a hands-on role, so a high level of physical fitness is required.
  • The ability to work nights when required.
  • A strong focus on health and safety for yourself, your colleagues, and the public.
  • Self-motivated, reliable, honest, and a true team player.
