The Green team in Tauranga are looking for experienced Asphalt Paving Supervisors to join the Surfacing team, who have the ability to motivate and lead their crews to the desired high standard of quality workmanship and finish. If you currently work in a similar role or a foreperson looking for your next career move, we would like to talk to you!

Your people management skills, ability to interact with and manage stakeholders, and successfully lead a team to achieve its goals, will set you apart from the rest. The scope of projects that you will be involved with will include large resurfacing projects, motorway works, site works and sub-divisions. You will be looking after a paving team of between 8 - 12 members.

Skills & Experience:

5+ years technical experience in planning and delivering a variety of asphalt and compaction methodologies
Managing a crew on a day to day basis, setting goals and programming the days movements, including resource utilisation
Experience in asphalt quality control standards, H&S and environmental procedures and requirements
Active and productive communication with clients/consultants/staff
Self-motivation, a positive attitude and the ability to think for yourself
Be a reliable, honest and flexible team-player
Appropriate licenses (WTR, Class 1-4) or the ability to obtain
Site Safe, Construct Safe, Traffic Control Level 1 or the ability to obtain
The following are desirable to have: STMS qualification/ first aid / JSEA / Critical Risk training / Road Construction qualification/Infrastructure workers – Site supervision / Project management qualification / First Line Management qualification / civil trades registration.

This is a full time, permanent role working 40-60 hours per week. Competitive salary on offer between $110-120k per annum. This role is based from our Higgins Tauranga Branch, however travel through the wider Bay of Plenty region is required.
