Waipapa Pine, part of Fletcher Wood Products, is a leading producer of high-quality sawn timber products. We are seeking a skilled Supply Chain Coordinator to join our fabulous team in beautiful Whangarei to ensure timely supply of product to our customers and support our successful expansion of operations in the North. About the Job:
This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of products throughout our supply chain. You will be responsible for coordinating various aspects of the supply chain process, including logistics, inventory management, and distribution. The ideal candidate will be a team player, have excellent organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Co-ordination of the inward and outward goods flow of timber products between our own, partner and customer sites.
  • Liaise with despatch team to move and pick product, and load and unload trucks. 
  • Plan and coordinate transportation and logistics activities, including shipping, receiving, and storage.
  • Collaborate with customers and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery and planning of product.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate inventory replenishment to meet customer demands while minimizing excess inventory.
  • Effective planning to fulfil customer purchase orders to uphold the customer service promise and achieve delivery in full on time.
  • Work closely with internal teams to forecast demand, plan and identify potential supply chain issues, and implement solutions to optimize efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to supply chain activities, including despatch dockets, and shipping/receiving reports.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve supply chain processes to enhance productivity and product flow.

Qualifications & Attributes:

  • Proven experience in supply chain management, logistics, or planning roles.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain principles and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Work collaboratively with others and in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, ERP systems and planning software.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
