Description

We are looking for an experienced Surfacing Manager to join the Higgins Hawke’s Bay Region. 

You will play a key role in the Hawke’s Bay leadership team, overseeing all surfacing functions including asphalt production, project and contract management, and overall commercial performance.

Your responsibilities will include customer relations, work programming, budget control, procurement, project management, and people leadership. You’ll also drive the bidding and delivery activities. 

This is excellent leadership opportunity!

About you

  • A strong technical background in surfacing projects and contracts is essential
  • In-depth knowledge of aggregates and surfacing materials (hot mix and chip-sealing)
  • Expertise in tendering, pricing and delivering surfacing projects
  • Commercially and financially astute.
  • Leadership experience with a focus on coaching and influencing
  • Highly detail-oriented and well-organised
  • Ability to prioritise, coordinate, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • A Civil Engineering or Business qualification
