Description

We are seeking a Survey Assistant to join our Higgins team in Tauranga. This is a fantastic opportunity to kickstart your career in the construction industry and work alongside experienced professionals in the field as a Survey Assistant.

Reporting to the Survey Manager, you will gain hands-on experience in the field through activities such as: topographic surveys, survey control establishment, set out surveys, monitoring surveys, as-builts as well as specific surveys to demonstrate specification, quantity or quality requirements.

What you’ll bring to the role:
  • A desire to learn, new technologies and techniques are constantly emerging in the field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A meticulous approach to work, with strong organisational skills
  • Valid driver's license, as travel to job sites will be required
  • Familiarity with basic surveying equipment and software, as well as a strong understanding of mathematical concepts and geometry.
