Are you ready to make a significant impact on a transformative project? Fletcher Construction is seeking a Survey Assistant for Te Wai Takamori o Te Awa Kairangi (Te Awa Kairangi).

About the Role

Start your career in surveying with the Te Awa Kairangi Alliance. As a Survey Assistant, you’ll support the survey team on a major infrastructure project, helping deliver accurate data and maintain high safety standards.

Set up and maintain survey equipment for the team
Assist with monitoring and levelling tasks
Undertake simple surveys under supervision or independently
Help with accurate set-out of roads and structures
Check and maintain survey equipment for accuracy and safety
Learn survey principles and software while supporting team tasks

What you’ll bring to the role

Secondary school qualifications, including maths
Basic understanding of survey principles and equipment
Willingness to learn and develop technical skills
Strong attention to detail and organisational ability
Good communication skills, both verbal and written
A positive, team-focused attitude

About Te Awa Kairangi

Te Awa Kairangi Alliance is delivering transport, walking and cycling improvements to the SH2 Melling interchange and rail station, as part of a wider flood protection and city revitalisation programme. Fletcher Construction is working with Alliance partners AECOM, NZTA, Taranaki Whānui and Ngāti Toa Rangatira to deliver this transformative project.
