Description

We are seeking a Tail Pilot Vehicle Operator to join the Higgins team of the East Waikato Network Outcomes Contract (EWNOC) covering the Hauraki Plains - Coromandel Peninsula. 

Based from our branch in Morrinsville, your primary role will be to drive the tail pilot vehicle to shadow any workers undertaking road maintenance duties on the network to ensure their safety on site. This role may also include general labouring duties.

What you’ll bring to the role:
  • Full New Zealand Class 1 Drivers Licence
  • STMS Mobile NP Qualification is essential
  • Previous experience in road maintenance is preferred
  • Must be available to work on an on-call roster
  • Able to reach the job site within 30 minutes for any call-outs
  • Experience with incident response is a plus
  • Familiarity with RAMM is beneficial
  • Strong focus on health and safety not only for yourself, your colleagues but also the public
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude and the ability to think for yourself
  • Be reliable, honest and a flexible team player
