Our Christchurch branch is expanding, and we’re looking for a dynamic Team Leader to help drive our success.

The Role

As Team Leader, you’ll be at the forefront of our operations—leading a skilled team, coordinating daily activities, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard. You’ll play a key role in fostering a positive team culture and maintaining strong relationships with clients and contractors. The Team Leader role will work the hours of 2.00pm to 10.30pm, Monday to Friday and will be responsible for 2 staff.

About the job:

• Loading and unloading trucks with packs of roofing iron and associated flashings and components – gantry and forklift certs required.
• Checking and signing off manifests to confirm correct product loaded.
• Overseeing team members who are also loading trucks or operating machinery.
• Serving and loading customers vehicles.
• Class 5 licence to move trucks from factory into yard.
• Bringing in coils from racks and prepping for operators to use the following day.
• Checking lay down area, racks, and dispatch at the end of shift to assure all product is loaded.

 
Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a skilled team
• Manage project timelines, materials, and workforce allocation
• Provide training, support, and performance feedback to team members
• Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth product delivery
• Ensure health & safety compliance including our Life saving Rules.

• Proven leadership experience
• Knowledge of roll forming and folding
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• A proactive, safety-first mindset and commitment to quality
• Full NZ driver’s license plus Class 5, forklift, and gantry certs
