Dimond Roofing is looking for a Technical Roofing Manager to join our team and help strengthen our position as a trusted technical leader in the New Zealand roofing market.

This is a hands-on technical role for someone who enjoys combining roofing knowledge with practical, on‑site understanding. 
You’ll work closely with the Senior Technical Manager and a wide group of internal and external stakeholders to ensure our roofing systems are compliant, well understood, and practical to install in the real world.

What you’ll be doing
  • Providing clear, practical technical advice on Dimond roofing systems across residential, commercial, and industrial applications
  • Reviewing drawings, specifications, and project details to support compliant and workable roofing solutions
  • Supporting the development and upkeep of technical manuals, installation guides, and product literature
  • Working alongside installers and contractors to strengthen installation outcomes and technical understanding
  • Delivering training, presentations, and toolbox sessions for installers, branches, customers, and industry groups
  • Assisting with technical investigations and helping identify practical, customer‑focused solutions
  • Visiting sites where needed to review installations and provide support
  • Using digital tools and IT systems to manage documentation and share technical knowledge across the business
What we’re looking for
  • Experience in a technical role within the building, construction, or roofing industry
  • Some hands‑on metal roofing installation experience, with a strong understanding of how systems come together on site
  • Good knowledge of NZ roofing compliance requirements, including the Roofing Code of Practice, E2/AS1, and relevant standards
  • Confidence interpreting drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
  • Comfort delivering training and presenting to both technical and non‑technical audiences
  • Solid IT capability, including working with technical documents and Microsoft‑based tools
  • A collaborative, solutions‑focused approach and the ability to work comfortably across technical, sales, and customer‑facing environments
