Are you passionate about the building industry and ready to take ownership of one of Laminex New Zealand’s most important territories?  We’re looking for a driven and relationship-focused Territory Manager to join our high-performing team, managing the Hawke’s Bay, Taupō and Gisborne region.  This is an opportunity to represent market-leading brands, grow key customer relationships, and drive success across customer channels.

About the Role
As Territory Manager, you'll be responsible for a diverse portfolio of customers including joiners, kitchen manufacturers, merchants. You'll manage some of our most valuable accounts, including one of Laminex's top customers within the region.  Working autonomously from a home base in Hawke’s Bay, you'll spend your time building strong relationships, identifying growth opportunities, supporting customers with new product launches, and expanding our presence across the merchant channel. While this is a field-based role, you'll be supported by our Napier branch and dedicated local customer service team, providing a strong operational base and ensuring customers receive exceptional service and support.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Managing and growing customer relationships across the region Hawke’s Bay, Taupō and Gisborne region.
  • Working closely with merchant partners and supporting joinery customers and kitchen manufacturers with product and technical expertise.
  • Driving sales growth across established product ranges and exciting new product launches.
  • Building relationships with architects, designers and key decision-makers.
  • Identifying new business opportunities and market trends.
  • Delivering product training and onsite customer support.

About You
We're looking for someone who understands the building products industry and enjoys working directly with customers.

You will ideally have:
  • 3–5+ years of sales experience within the building, construction, hardware or merchant sectors.
  • Existing networks within Hawke’s Bay, Taupō, Gisborne or the wider North Island market.
  • Experience working with merchants, building suppliers or trade customers.
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
  • A self-motivated approach and ability to work remotely.
  • The ability to quickly learn products, processes and market opportunities.
  • A reputation for honesty, integrity and professionalism.
