About the role:

With ongoing demand our team is continuing to grow, and we now have the opportunity to bring on a customer and sales focused Trade Sales Manager to join our team. 

Reporting into the Hub Sales Manager, the Trade Sales Manager will be responsible for ensuring that their team’s deliver excellent customer service and solutions-focused sales support. You will take responsibility for meeting your team targets by maximising sales opportunities and focusing on new customer acquisition, whilst maintaining and growing our high value trade customers. 

This is a hands-on supervisory role that will require a multi-skilled leader with a balanced approach to manage day-to-day activities and management responsibilities including but not limited to -

Daily you will be responsible for –
  • Coaching, Training and Managing a team of Account Managers 
  • Assist in setting team Key Performance Indicators, monitoring progress against these, and providing support to the team to achieve them
  • Work in partnership with our Trade Support and Estimations team to ensure we provide superior service for our customers
  • Weekly Team meetings, performance reviews and reporting
  • This role may also include the management of a small number of key accounts


This is a permanent full-time role, offering 40 hours a week, Monday-Friday, based in our Wairau Park Branch - however there is some flexibility on location. 


About you:
  • Management Experience – leading small to medium sized teams (3+ Years) 
  • Construction/Building Industry Experience 
  • Proven history in driving sales performance 
  • You are highly motivated, self-driven and capable of building a high-performing team with a strong sales focus
  • Hands-on leadership style with positive and engaging personality to drive the best out of your team
  • Strong business acumen and proficiency in computer systems
  • You’re passionate, innovative and ready to push yourself and your team to meet and exceed performance targets with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels with care and consideration
