Description

The role: 
We’re looking for a proactive and customer-focused Trade Sales Support professional to join our Christchurch team. In this exciting new role, you’ll provide essential support to our Sales Reps while managing key customer accounts, helping to drive sales performance, and ensuring outstanding service delivery.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a sales support environment, enjoys building strong customer relationships, and has a keen eye for detail.

You will be responsible for
  • Manage and service a portfolio of commercial customer accounts 
  • Partner with Sales Representatives to identify opportunities and win new business 
  • Deliver high-quality customer service via phone and email 
  • Prepare, review, and follow up on quotes and pricing 
  • Maintain contract pricing, price books, and margin accuracy 
  • Support project coordination, including tracking orders and updating ETAs 
  • Assist with supplier negotiations, returns, and pricing 
  • Monitor sales performance, margins, and debtor control 
  • Handle invoice queries and ensure admin processes are completed accurately 
  • Contribute to achieving monthly sales and gross profit targets

This is a permanent full-time role, offering 40 hours a week. Working Monday to Friday. Based out of our Montreal Street branch.

About you: 
To really understand our customers and to be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following -  

  • 2–5 years’ experience in a sales support or similar role 
  • Strong customer service and relationship management skills 
  • Excellent organisation and time management – able to juggle multiple priorities 
  • Commercial awareness with a focus on profitability and results 
  • Confident communication skills and ability to influence outcomes 
  • Industry knowledge (plumbing or electrical) is advantageous but not essential
  • Builds trust and strong working relationships 
  • Proactive and takes initiative 
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy & Solid computer literacy 
  • Solutions-focused with a continuous improvement mindset 
  • Customer-first approach with a drive to exceed expectations
