Description

About Your Role
In this role, you’ll be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and support to our Account Managers, suppliers, and customers across the Christchurch Hub. Your main objective will be to ensure a seamless customer experience—managing inquiries, providing expert product advice, preparing quotes, and identifying solutions that meet customer needs.
Coming from a trade or building industry background will be a real advantage, as it means you’ll already have a solid understanding of the products, materials, and challenges our customers face. This practical experience will allow you to connect with customers on a deeper level, speak their language, and deliver advice that’s not just accurate, but genuinely useful on the job.

What You’ll Be Doing
Actioning customer enquiries by phone, email, and in-person.
Offering value-added solutions for both internal and external customers.
Taking clear briefs from stakeholders and preparing accurate quotes and documents.
Planning daily and weekly with Account Managers & Team Leaders to capture every opportunity.
Providing tailored product advice, pricing information, and practical solutions.

This is a permanent, full-time role offering 40 hours a week, Monday–Friday, within our Christchurch Hub.

About You
Proven customer service and/or sales experience.
Trade or building industry background preferred—whether that’s on the tools, in a workshop, or in a supplier role.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a knack for personalised solutions.
Able to work well under pressure, staying organised and efficient.
Confident using computers (Outlook, Word, and other general software); full training provided on our in-house systems.

Our Benefits
Competitive base salary and staff-buying privileges.
Genuine development opportunities as part of the wider Fletcher Building Group.
Women in Sales initiative—dedicated to upskilling, learning, and career growth.
Health & wellbeing initiatives, including an Employee Assistance Programme.
