Description

The Green Team at our branch in Mount Maunganui is looking for a permanent full time Traffic Management Operative to join the Traffic Management division. 

In this hands on role, you’ll be out on the road helping keep our crews, road users, and communities safe. You’ll assist with setting up traffic management sites, controlling traffic flow, and creating safe workspaces for your colleagues. You’ll also support pedestrians and answer questions from local residents, representing Higgins in a positive and professional way.

What you’ll bring to the role:
  • Traffic Management experience or willingness to learn and be trained 
  • TC Qualification (Level 1 minimum) – Unit standard 31958 and or 31960
  • Full New Zealand Driver’s Licence Class 1
  • Class 2 licence preferred or willingness to obtain one 
  • A safety-first mindset – for yourself, your team and the public
  • Reliable, punctual, and motivated
  • Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors
  • A team player with good problem solving skills
