Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Traffic Manager to join the Higgins Team based on the Eastern Busways Alliance (EBA). 

The alliance includes Auckland Transport, Fletcher Construction, ACCIONA, AECOM and Jacobs. We are delivering a significant project for Auckland, creating separate lanes for new high-frequency bus services to connect people from Botany, Pakuranga and the surrounding suburbs with the rail network in Panmure. 

As our Traffic Manager you will lead the planning, resourcing and effective delivery of the traffic management workload for the project while leading a team of Traffic Management Planners, Operatives and STMS staff both internal and external. Further, you will be across the effective implementation of all Traffic Management Plans.

What you will bring to the role:
  • Strong background in Traffic Management including capital projects within New Zealand
  • Prior experience as a Traffic Manager is desirable.  
  • Proficient in TMP’s and Temporary Barrier design using AutoCAD
  • Prior commercial experience is essential including forecasting, procurement and project cost management.
  • You will be passionate about leading people, with a proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams, fostering a collaborative environment that drives high performance and achieves business goals.
  • Prior experience managing internal and external customers with proven success. You will be confident building and maintaining strong relationships to ensure exceptional service delivery and satisfaction.
  • High level of knowledge and commitment to operational health and safety best practice
  • Oversee quality, compliance and safety on project by conducting regular audits and ensuring best practice is implemented.
