Description

Higgins is seeking a dynamic Traffic Manager to drive our TTM Division forward, ensuring exceptional delivery, strong client relationships, and continued business growth.

Reporting to our Region Manager, you will be based at our Hamilton branch and play a pivotal role in our senior leadership team. As Traffic Manager, you will plan and oversee the effective delivery of workload within the TTM team and across the wider business when required. You’ll play a key role in growing Higgins’ traffic management business and enhancing our reputation in the market.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients, partners, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Secure new business and prepare competitive, high-quality tender/bid proposals.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
  • Lead and develop your team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage financial performance, including budgeting, billing, and job costing.
  • Oversee supplier and subcontractor management, ensuring compliance and performance.
  • Champion health and safety, ensuring all work is carried out safely and in accordance with Higgins’ policies and procedures.

What We’re Looking For:
  • A solid background in Traffic Management on roading projects within New Zealand
  • Proven people management skills and experience leading teams.
  • Strong understanding of job pricing, including materials, labour, and plant.
  • STMS Qualifications – Cat B
  • TTM Panner qualifications highly sought after
  • Ability to build successful teams and foster a positive, productive work environment.
