About the Role:
Based in our Whangarei sawmill, we are seeking a skilled Treatment Plant Operator to join our team. The Treatment Plant Operator will be responsible for overseeing the treatment process of timber products, ensuring quality control, and maintaining equipment efficiency. The Treatment Plant operates 24/7, hence flexibility to work days, nights and weekends are a must.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and monitor treatment plant equipment to ensure proper treatment of timber products.
  • Conduct routine inspections and quality control checks to maintain product standards.
  • Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform basic maintenance tasks.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
  • Maintain accurate records of treatment processes and inventory levels.
  • Collaborate with team members to optimize plant operations and achieve production targets.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience in operating treatment plant equipment or similar.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Forklift licence preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills. 
  • Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
