Description

About Us

If we could have it our way, people would talk a little less about housing and a lot more about living. That's because we believe the Kiwi dream is bigger than a quarter acre. It’s about living the life you want. So, we create neighbourhoods designed to nurture living in all its beauty, richness and variety.

Vivid Living is designed for residents aged 70+ who want to keep living independently, socially connected with the community, and supported by the level of care they choose. The integration of Vivid Living into already thriving Fletcher Living neighbourhoods, is a deliberate way of expanding our communities and our business and setting them up for success.

Why Join Us?

We’re a high performing business and are proud to say that we have a highly engaged and successful team. We have a fantastic people culture and encourage everyone to bring their full and genuine selves to work. Our workplaces are enriched by many different nationalities, languages, religions, customs, and lifestyles. We’re proud of this diversity and understand that it brings a richer and broader perspective to how we operate by helping us connect better with our people and with our customer base.

The Role

In this role you will lead the day-to-day operations of the Red Beach retirement village, with a strong focus on ensuring the smooth running of the village, safety, resident satisfaction, and compliance. We are a small, boutique village, meaning you will get involved with all parts of running the village and this role requires you to wear many hats and get stuck in!

Key responsibilities include:

Day-to-day leadership of all operational aspects of the village, including people leadership of a small team
Supporting a strong community culture of inclusion and respect, cultivating a vibrant village environment
Supporting residents to live independently, addressing any concerns promptly
Overseeing grounds and facilities, ensuring all planned and unplanned maintenance is dealt with accordingly
Managing the resales process: maintaining an active waitlist, responding to sales enquiries, signing up new residents to occupation right agreements (ORAs)
Ensuring compliance with Retirement Villages Act 2003, Code of Practice 2008, Deed of Supervision under our Statutory Supervisor, and all other relevant legislation
Full ownership of village P&L, ensuring budget targets and performance metrics are met

Hours for this role are 32 hours per week, Monday to Friday (between the hours of 8:30am-5pm. There is flexibility within these hours, but some 5pm finishes will be required).

About You

The ideal person will have the following skills and experience:

Retirement industry experience is preferred
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Understanding of financial management and budgeting
Strong customer facing experience
Excellent knowledge of safety and compliance, with a commitment to maintain a First Aid Certificate
Clean full NZ Drivers Licence (requirement to drive a village vehicle with passengers)
Caring, considerate, respectful, and fun attitude to residents, visitors, and staff
Available to be on call for evenings and weekends

If you thrive on variety, love a challenge, and love working with people, this could be your next move.
