The Role: Laminex is seeking a dedicated Warehouse Operator to join our team at the Cheltenham site. In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient operation and maintenance of warehouse activities within a manufacturing environment. Key responsibilities include receiving and dispatching goods, operating forklifts for material handling, and storing materials. You will also be involved in packing and putaway laminate sheets and other manufacturing components. Reporting to the Operation Support Lead, the successful candidate will exhibit strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and effective communication skills.
Shift Patterns: This is a Monday to Friday, full-time role, with no weekend shifts required. The working hours are from 9:40 AM to 6 PM, with an average of 38 ordinary hours per week. You will work 40 hours each week without overtime to accrue for a rostered day off (RDO).
Key Responsibilities:
- Unload deliveries, inspect and verify incoming stock against PO and/or shipping documents to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Prepare orders for shipment, check manifest and shipping documents against FG products, and ensure the correct item/pallet has been picked before transfer to the loading bay.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory and shipping documents.
- Conduct COR Load Restrain and Truck Driver compliance checks.
- Use RF scanners for putaway of HPL laminates according to customer order, packing, sealing of crates, and preparing them for shipment.
- Assist in conducting regular inventory counts and reporting discrepancies.
- Safely operate forklifts, tow motors, and other warehouse equipment and machinery as required.
- General warehouse housekeeping and maintain the cleanliness of the work area.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, such as wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE), following safe handling practices for equipment and products, and keeping the warehouse clean and hazard-free.
- Work alongside other warehouse staff and management to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of operations, contributing to a positive and productive team environment.
- Engage in ongoing learning and development opportunities and actively participate in continuous improvement projects to achieve the site KPI’s.
About You:
Experience in Counterbalance LF/ Gas and Electric Forklift.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing warehouse or distribution center.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong command of the English language both written and verbal, and able to follow SOP.
- Experience in RF scanning, SAP or ERP system.
- Open-minded and willing to learn new tasks and upskills/ career opportunities.
- Highly team-oriented, with a strong capacity for physical work within a dynamic environment.
- Strong safety mindset and engage in ongoing learning and development opportunities.
- High attention to detail and excellent coordination.
- Able to pick up overtime when required.
