Description

The Role:

You’ll lead and develop our vital front-line team in our Yard & Drive Thru department which is the heart of our branch.

Daily you will be responsible for –

Driving excellent customer service to our building and trade customers when they come through our timber yard area
Controlling Inventory and stock management with the use of continuous improvement techniques
Leading, mentoring and developing the yard & drive thru team
General maintenance to ensure Health and Safety, Environmental and Quality requirements are exceeded

This is a permanent full-time role. Offering 40-45 hours a week Monday-Friday, with some rostered Saturdays.

About You:

We are looking for someone with a passion for leading a team, who is highly motivated to make decisions and act to continuously improve performance and safety measures.

Have Hands-on leadership skills to ensure that the team exceeds our customers’ expectations
Strong interpersonal skills with ability to motivate/influence the team
Trade/product knowledge or warehousing experience is preferred
Proficient computer and numeracy skills
Have a clean Full driver’s licence as well as Forklift driving experience/licence is required
Physically fit with a solid health & safety values
Proactive and able to think on your feet under pressure
