As a Mandarin Speaking Yard & Drive Thru Team Member at PlaceMakers Mt Wellington you’ll be the trusted expert our Asian Market building trade customers rely on. Working across our yard and drive-thru areas, you’ll provide hands-on support and assistance, deliver tailored product advice, load vehicles and help to create a customer experience that keeps them coming back.

Assist & recommend products that suit the needs and preferences of every customer
Pick, assemble, and process orders and transactions
Load and unload customer vehicles, delivery vans, and supplier trucks
Support dispatch and coordinate daily deliveries
Monitor inventory levels, complete cycle counts and stock replenishment
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised yard through general housekeeping
Operate a Forklift

This is a permanent full-time role at our Mt Wellington branch offering 40 hours per week including one weekend day.

About You:

To succeed in this role, you’ll be someone who’s friendly, dependable, and physically fit. Fluent in both Mandarin and English, you’ll be ready to jump in whenever needed and always put customers at the heart of everything you do.

Fluent in both Mandarin and English (verbal & written)
Strong work ethic and an approachable, down-to-earth attitude
Physically fit and capable of heavy lifting and manual handling
Full NZ Class 1 drivers’ licence is essential
Forklift experience with F endorsement
Previous experience in a similar customer-facing or warehousing role
Knowledge of building products or the construction industry is desirable but not essential
