Description

The Role:
You’ll lead and develop our vital front-line team in our timber yard. 

Daily you will be responsible for 
  • Driving excellent customer service to our building and trade customers when they come through our timber yard area.  
  • Controlling Inventory and stock management with the use of continuous improvement techniques. 
  • Leading, mentoring and developing the team of four in the timber yard 
  • General maintenance to ensure Health and Safety, Environmental and Quality requirements are exceeded. 

This is a permanent full-time role. Offering 40-45 hours a week Monday-Friday.   

About You:
We are looking for someone with a passion for leading a team, who is highly motivated to make decisions and act to continuously improve performance and safety measures. 
  • Have Hands-on leadership skills to ensure that the team exceeds our customers’ expectations. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to motivate/influence the team
  • Trade/product knowledge or warehousing experience is preferred 
  • Proficient computer and numeracy skills
  • Have a clean Full driver’s licence. Forklift driving experience or licence 
  • Physically fit with a solid health & safety values 
  • Proactive and able to think on your feet under pressure
