The Role

We’re looking for a customer-focused team player to join our Yard & Drive Thru team at PlaceMakers Clarence Street Hamilton. In this hands-on role, you’ll help our trade customers find and load building products, assist with stock movement, and ensure our yard is safe, tidy, and running smoothly.

You’ll be part of a supportive team that values safety, great service, and a can-do attitude. Whether you’re experienced in Customer Service or just starting out, we’ll provide the training and support to help you succeed.

Your day-to-day (duties) will include:
Assisting customers with locating and loading building products
Safely loading/unloading trucks and securing product
Using yard systems to record product movements and support order processing
Re-stocking, picking orders, and maintaining stock levels
Keeping the yard clean, safe, and well-organised
Supporting continuous improvement and safety initiatives

This is a full-time, permanent role, Monday – Friday 40 hours per week (Working rostered hours between) 7am – 5pm occasional Saturday’s 

About You
You’re practical, reliable, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. You take pride in helping customers and working as part of a team. If you have a forklift licence and some experience in customer service or manual handling — great! If not, we’ll help you get there.

We’re looking for someone with:
A positive attitude and willingness to learn
Good communication and problem-solving skills
Forklift licence (or willingness to obtain one)
Basic building product knowledge (advantageous)
Ability to follow direction and take initiative
Commitment to safety and teamwork
Full driver license
