About the Role

Join Brian Perry Civil’s Asset Hub in Tawa as a Yard Person and play a key part in keeping plant and equipment ready for work across our projects. This is a practical, hands-on role where you’ll work with machinery every day, supporting the smooth running of the yard while building your mechanical skills in a supportive team.

  • Keep the yard clean, organised, and safe for everyone
  • Move plant and equipment, including loading and unloading
  • Prepare machinery and attachments for deployment to site
  • Carry out basic servicing such as greasing, cleaning, and fluid checks
  • Support mechanics with repairs and maintenance tasks
  • Complete pre-start checks and report any faults or issues

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience in a yard, workshop, or construction environment
  • Interest in machinery and a practical approach to problem solving
  • Awareness of health and safety and a commitment to safe work practices
  • Reliable, physically fit, and comfortable with hands-on work
  • Able to work well both independently and as part of a team
  • Relevant licences or experience such as forklift, WTR, or basic mechanical skills are an advantage
