About the Role

Join Brian Perry Civil’s Asset Hub in Tawa as a Yard Person and play a key part in keeping plant and equipment ready for work across our projects. This is a practical, hands-on role where you’ll work with machinery every day, supporting the smooth running of the yard while building your mechanical skills in a supportive team.

Keep the yard clean, organised, and safe for everyone
Move plant and equipment, including loading and unloading
Prepare machinery and attachments for deployment to site
Carry out basic servicing such as greasing, cleaning, and fluid checks
Support mechanics with repairs and maintenance tasks
Complete pre-start checks and report any faults or issues

What You’ll Bring

Experience in a yard, workshop, or construction environment
Interest in machinery and a practical approach to problem solving
Awareness of health and safety and a commitment to safe work practices
Reliable, physically fit, and comfortable with hands-on work
Able to work well both independently and as part of a team
Relevant licences or experience such as forklift, WTR, or basic mechanical skills are an advantage
