Mico Plumbing and Bathrooms, a division of Fletcher Building Ltd, is New Zealand’s leading specialist supplier of plumbing and bathroom products to trade, retail and commercial customers with a reputation for quality and customer satisfaction.

Our large Penrose Distribution site services our Auckland metropolitan, regional & national customers with hundreds of deliveries of Mico products. In addition, the DC team also manage 3PL distribution for several other Fletcher Building Business units . Our staff are integral part of our success and play a key role in providing the highest level of service to our customers. 

We are seeking an experienced result-oriented senior warehouse operator who takes pride in achieving service levels to join our busy team and exceed customer expectations. Day to day your role will include: 

  • Assisting our team leaders, working in either our Despatch team - picking, packing and dispatching products or 
  • In our Inbound team - devanning containers, loading/unloading, checking inbound deliveries and receipting.
  • You will also be involved with inventory control in conjunction with Inventory Administrator/controller.

There is a mixture of fork hoist and manual handling work so you will need to be physically fit and be an individual who champions a safe working environment. A fork hoist licence with F Endorsement is an essential. Also, paramount to this role is your competency in operating a reach truck in a high bay distribution centre environment. 

We have a lot going on at once so we are looking for the person with that X-factor who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has excellent attention to detail and numeracy skills, good communication skills, a master in JDE9.2, a H&S champion and most importantly who can remain calm under pressure. You’ll be a team player assisting team leaders whilst working well with others in the team to complete tasks and achieve goals.

Hours are Monday to Friday 6.00am – 4.30pm rostered for 8 hrs workday with the occasional OT depending on workload.
