The Role:
PlaceMakers Kaiwharawhara/Porirua have an opportunity for an experienced Inventory Controller and Inwards Goods person to join their hardworking, committed and fun team based at our Porirua Depot.

Working scheduled hours Monday - Friday, you will be responsible for accurately checking and receipting product within our inwards goods area. This will include utilising our internal systems and digital technology to track and log daily deliveries, organising and improving our internal processes, managing all special orders while ensuring effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.

On a daily basis you will be responsible for the management of stock control and purchasing, the review/management of products and building relationships with external and internal suppliers. You will have the opportunity to really add value and take ownership.

About You:
With previous inventory experience, you are committed to success and keen to expand your capability within a leading brand. In addition to this, you can also demonstrate the following –

Exceptional attention to detail
Sound computer/Excel skills
Practical experience in purchasing
Analytical with ability to identify trends with key suppliers, seasons and products
Professional communication skills 
Ability to work autonomously and enjoy being part of a cohesive and successful team
Knowledge of the building industry and ACE software would be an advantage but is not essential
Valid Forklift Licence/F endorsement would be an advantage but is not essential
