Reporting to the Technical Support & Training Manager you will be responsible for ensuring that our materials, systems and solutions are understood and used correctly by a range of market groups. Our technical support and training function plays a vital role, in conjunction with Sales and Marketing, in taking Winstone Wallboards’ offerings to market. Technical support, training and information are key brand differentiators and enable us to offer continued customer support.
You will be responsible for providing technical support to a range of external customers such as Vocational Training Institutions, Builders, Fixers, Stoppers, Architect & Designers and Key Customer Groups & Organisations. You will also deliver and support industry training programs which will allow us to ensure that we’re meeting our business objectives. A large majority of our customer support and technical advice is offered over the phone, so you will need to be comfortable working in this environment too.
This is a varied role where you will need to utilise your technical skills and expert communication skills. Experience in the commercial and/or residential building industry, preferably with GIB® Systems and Products. You will be working with a range of internal and external stakeholders and your ability to build rapport easily is essential. Your capacity to prioritise tasks and manage your time is key.
This role will allow you to provide input into a variety of company initiatives and exposure to senior stakeholders across Winstone Wallboards and the wider organisation. There will be ongoing training provided and the opportunity to leverage knowledge and skills from across the Fletcher Building organisation.
