This is a brand-new position created for our thriving Christchurch branch, so it’s an exciting opportunity for you to come in and make it your own! As the Design & Specification Manager you will be responsible for supporting the pre-planning, design coordination, specification, and colour-selection of homes to be built in our developments. You will be generating briefing documents, and development themes, consistent with the boundaries of Resource Consents and planning regulations. You will also be expected to drive the kitchen and bathroom design and specifications by co-ordinating external consultants and suppliers.
This role won’t be customer-facing, but you will be liaising with every member of the branch team including Development, Sales, QS and Construction to immerse yourself in the brief and ensure that our external partners and consultants are fully on board.
The great thing about this role is that because it is totally new, we are open to what your background might be and what skills you can bring to the team. We imagine you will be someone who is working in residential design and has an eye for colour and interiors, as this will be a major part of the role, or you could be a product specialist for a kitchen and bathroom supplier, and be passionate about getting the best quality and highest performance fixture for every aspect of the design. The most important thing is that you have a commitment to being part of a team that delivers quality designed homes in a collaborative environment.
