This is a newly created role and you will report to the Head of the EH&S for New Zealand Distribution (NZD) and which also means you will have peers (from our PlaceMakers brand) to support you and to bounce ideas with.
This is a sole authority role within Mico, however the ’Manager’ aspect of this role derives from the fact that you will sit on the SMT and you will be involved in strategic decisions around the NZD H&S plan which you will be responsible for communicating and executing within Mico. We will be looking for an individual with excellent stake-holder management experience and the ability to work with a diverse range of people to influence our safety journey, the goal of which is to ensure that all injuries are prevented.
You will however have access to an administrative resource who is responsible for tracking and booking the compliance training aspects of the business.
This role will ideally suit someone who wants to feel deeply connected to the organisation they work for. Being sole charge there will be times where you will need to roll your sleeves up and really get into the detail and/or the support aspects required by our branches. However, given the full ownership remit this role will have for H&S performance, you will work across all levels and it will be your ability to influence and shift mindsets which will result in your success.
