Description:

Firth is a leading supplier of ready mixed concrete, masonry products and premix to the construction industry either directly or through building product distributors. It has over 2,500 active customer accounts and its products are used across all building sectors and environments. Firth has a team of approximately 650 people, working in 85 operational sites throughout New Zealand. It's divided into three main product groups, Certified, Masonry and Dricon. 

We are looking for a customer service/ production person to join our busy team based in Albany.  As well as the odd early start, your primary role will be ensuring our concrete is made (or batched, to use the technical lingo) to specification and quality standards, providing timely and accurate service to our customers, and efficient processing and facilitation of orders. You will also gain experience by traveling (in a company provided vehicle) to our other Auckland sites and pitching in where required.  

This hands-on role is a great mix of customer contact, co-ordination, scheduling, and which requires someone who has excellent customer service and communication skills, proficient data entry skills, accuracy and attention to detail and time management skills. Training will be provided for all other aspects of the role; all we need from you is a positive attitude, the willingness to roll up your sleeves and get a little grubby and learn new skills. This is what will set you apart from the rest! 

Key requirements:
  • Be really focused on the customer
  • Hold a current NZ Full Driver Licence  
  • An interest in all things concrete 
  • Be able to lift objects up to 25kgs in weight 
  • Be able to handle manual labour 
  • Have strong attention to detail
