About the role
You will provide safe and efficient maintenance services completing the tasks scheduled by the preventative maintenance service program, and where required, support timely and well-conceived maintenance repairs. You will be supported in this role by the site electrical service contractors, and you will guide and supervise team works when assigned to you as required. This role requires a strong partnership with the Manufacturing team. You will be required to establish and maintain positive working relationships with your immediate team, and the wider production team, assisting with effectively resolving any maintenance concerns, and from time to time, providing your personal help and efforts to the team when there’s a lot going on.
You will be working a rotating 12 hour shift that will involve weekends and public holidays, to provide for adequate support across a 24/7 rotating shift operation.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a strong team focus will be key to your success in this role! In addition, we are looking for:
• Mechanical fitting trade or similar background - Mandatory
• Trained or equivalent skills in: Machine fitting, Trouble Shooting, Extrusion industry and Automation are preferred
• Exposure to machinery of a high net value and the actions required to protect investment
• High attention to detail
• Ability to understand clear direction with a team approach
• Work with minimal supervision
