We are looking for a Commercial Manager (Procurement) to join our project team at the New Zealand International Convention Centre (NZICC), based at our Nelson Street site office. 

You will be responsible for leading, planning, managing and controlling the Procurement and Subcontract Management function and full contract servicing of projects including monitoring & reporting on the financial position of procurement, consultants & subcontracts.  You will be responsible for delivering procurement outcomes for the projects through tactical and strategic approaches, including strategy development, market engagement, sourcing / contract negotiation and supplier management. 

We are looking for the following attributes and capabilities:
Tertiary qualification in Procurement, Quantity Surveying or Business related field
Minimum ten years’ experience in the construction or infrastructure industry, with at least 5 years’ in a management role, with specific experience in leading and managing procurement strategies at large and complex projects
Proven experience of leading and building a high-performance team
Proven ability to make decisions in high pressure environments
