Our Team in Hawkes Bay are on the lookout for an STMS Foreman to join the team and work on a variety of projects across the region. This is the perfect opportunity for an STMS who has experience running their own crew previously or someone who is ready to step up into this role. 

Role & Responsibilities
• Managing and leading your STMS crew
• Leading from the front with health and safety practices 
• Crew development - Supervising, training and upskilling your dedicated traffic team 
• Checking and implementing Traffic Management Plans supplied
• Selection and usage of authorized signage and site protection measures
• Briefing the work team about site traffic management and safety measures
• Identifying and controlling traffic and other hazards
• Liaising with, and ensuring safety compliance of site visitors
• Setting up, checking, maintaining and safe removal of worksite protection measures
• Worksite safety and Progress periodic site checks
• Understand and apply the standards for different roads.

Skills & Experience required
• Current STMS Qualification (Level 1) or (CAT-A/B)
• Minimum Class 1 licence, class 2 preferred  
• Previous experience working in Traffic Management is essential You will enjoy leading a team, this is a leadership role where you will be responsible for running your own crew
• You will be a strong communicator, someone who is pro-active with excellent problem-solving abilities
• You will have a safety focused mindset – this will be at the forefront of your day to day 
• Full clean New Zealand Driver’s License, ideally Class 2
• Self-motivated with a positive attitude and the ability to think for yourself and what is best for your Team
• A high level of physical fitness due to the physical nature of the role
• Reliable, honest and flexible
