About the role:
This is an exciting role where you will get to learn not only about the technical side of concrete but the supply and dispatch. You will work alongside Canterbury Concrete’s existing customers but also be building relationships in the industry to find new opportunities. Not your typical sales role, this will be very hands-on some days. From preparing quotes and supporting the Customer Service/Dispatch team, to ensure that all products are available for delivery, you may even have customers on-site looking at samples or be out on-site looking at a previous delivery. Your aim will be to grow relationships with our existing customers and ensure the final product meets their expectations.  

Canterbury Concrete is a small team, everyone pitches in to get the job done and no two days are the same. 

About you
Known for your drive, positivity, and attention to detail you will have strong problem-solving skills and have experience working in a busy environment. You are able to build relationships and engage with people from all walks of life. You will need to be adaptable and calm under pressure. Creative flair is a must, but you should still be prepared to work with our customers to provide technical advice where needed. Concrete knowledge and proven sales experience are a bonus however not mandatory as we are prepared to train the right person. If you have a good understanding of marketing and the online digital space that would be an asset.   

Added to this you will also need to have excellent computer skills, be confident to learn new systems, and be able to follow processes. You will need great communication skills and your customers may be mutual customers of our wider business partners so being able to work well with teammates across Fletchers is a must.
