Firth is a leading supplier of ready-mixed concrete, masonry products, and premix to the construction industry either directly or through building product distributors. It has over 2,500 active customer accounts and its products are used across all building sectors and environments.
We are looking for a Certified batcher/Driver/tester based at our plant in Whitianga. As the face of our company on-site, you will have excellent communication skills and a healthy sense of humour. In this role you will be involved in in all aspects of; producing concrete that meets all regulatory, customer, and Firth standards which including batching and testing and also driving. You will be responsible for measuring the quality of our readymix concrete, putting the finished product through a number of tests to ensure we meet strength, consistency, and quality measures which meet Firth’s own quality, and NZS requirements.
To be considered for the role you will have:
- Be physically fit
- A full class 4 license
- Attention to detail
- Road ranger gearbox experience
- Heavy traffic driving experience or vehicle with unstable loads
- Good customer interaction skills
- Dedication, a great work ethic and high personal standards
- Eager and willing to learn new skills
- Commitment to safe work practices
