The Fletcher Building Group Finance & Performance team has oversight for performance management, financial control, corporate office income & expenditure, settlements, treasury accounting, and is a key interface across the group from a finance perspective.

About the role
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Group Controls Manager. This is a newly created role, reporting to the Financial Controller in the Group Finance and Performance team. 
You’ll utilise your skills and experience to proactively establish relationships with key commercial and finance teams across the Group, truly partnering with the business to support their self-assessment of internal risks and controls.

You’ll bring a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of the Group’s key financial risk management, control, and governance processes, where you’ll be responsible for delivering the control and financial reporting review projects, and supporting the Group Financial Controller with reporting to the Audit Risk Committee and the Executive team. 

About you
You will be CA or CPA qualified, with demonstrated work experience in auditing (or similar) gained from within a Big 4 firm or within a large corporate.  

You’ll come equipped with an appreciation of required International Financial Reporting Standards, coupled with an appreciation of business and financial risks, and sound knowledge of internal control mechanisms and processes to manage or mitigate identified risks.

Critical to your success will be your exceptional stakeholder management skills, your influencing skills, and your ability to build relationships with many different people across the group – it goes without saying your business partnering skills will be second to none.
