Our Mico Tauranga store is a well-established and well-performing branch, boasting a beautiful showroom while also providing trade solutions to a large and loyal trade customer base, residential solutions to home builders and commercial solutions to the local business sector.
About the role:
We have an exciting role, where you’ll join a stable and well-performing branch and enjoy the variety and opportunities of working in a small and experienced team, within a large organisation.
Reporting to the Branch Manager, this is a varied role that will see you working behind the Trade Counter, ensuring that your customers, who are made up of tradies, businesses and home-owners, are greeted with a cheerful smile and exceptional service. Long term, we are looking for someone with the interest in growing towards future management roles in the business.
While most of your role will be Counter Sales, the variety of all roles in the branch means that you will still spend a some of your time in the warehouse, receiving and sorting incoming deliveries, picking/packing and despatching orders for delivery, and on occasion, delivering to our customers. You’ll have the chance to learn our products, and this will give you the chance to progress in the branch, the business, and the organisation. Product or industry knowledge would be a real bonus, but we have heaps of great training materials, if you’re a willing learner!
This is a permanent, fulltime role, working Mondays to Fridays with rostered shifts of either 7am to 4pm or 8am to 5pm, with rostered Saturdays (one-in-four, three hours only).
To shine in this role, you’ll bring a customer-focused attitude and strong work ethic to the business, and be prepared to work closely and flexibly with the rest of our team. The ability to build rapport and relationships should be your strength.
There is some manual handling required, and so you’ll need to be physically fit. A full, clean drivers’ licence is preferred, and a forklift licence would be a real bonus!
