The Role

As Time & Attendance (T&A) Projects Specialist, you will act as an interface between the NZ Payroll team as part of our Finance, Strategy and Performance Unit and other Fletcher Building Business Units or departments to deliver T&A and payroll projects to enable operational efficiencies to payroll processes and business operations across the group. 

You will be responsible for managing the T&A roadmap of work including managing implementation of T&A systems using payroll project disciplines, standardising and improving NZ T&A and payroll operating practices to be in line with best practices and promote best in class. Additionally, you will assess potential system modifications and changes to optimise and enhance the capabilities of the system.  This includes documentation and testing of configurations, developing procedural manuals, training and coordinating changes with the HR systems team and Business Unit operational teams. 

You will build strong key stakeholder relationships and manage any system queries, investigating and resolving issues that arise and training users on new processes. You will also generate several reports for the Technology and Payroll managers. 

About You

With a background in both project management and payroll, you will enjoy working in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. It’s essential that you have solid technical understanding of T&A and payroll systems including integration.

Technically competent, you will have an analytical mind-set coupled with an exceptionally high level of attention to detail. With proven ability in building and maintaining relationships, you will also be able to see the bigger picture; ensuring system changes are fully assessed and all impacts of change are considered. 

Your role is paramount to ensuring Payroll operates efficiently and effectively and as such you will enjoy taking ownership and demonstrating problem solving skills, assisting others, and working collaboratively. 

Chris21, ADI, Workforce Software and Kronos experience is highly preferable.
