Driver / Inwards Goods – Mico Wairau Park
• Career opportunity for someone new to the workforce or someone with years of experience
• Join a well-established, stable branch and work with an experienced and supportive team
• Permanent, fulltime role based at our Wairau Park Branch
• Excellent development and career opportunities within the business and wider organisation
Mico New Zealand is proud of its history of serving New Zealand communities. Mico Plumbing and Bathrooms is New Zealand’s leading specialist supplier of plumbing and bathroom products to trade, retail and commercial customers with a reputation for quality and customer satisfaction. We are part of Fletcher Building, a diversified global building industry company. With 66 branches and over 500 employees throughout New Zealand, we are the biggest name in plumbing and bathroom supplies.
Our Mico Wairau Park store is a well-established and well-performing branch, providing trade solutions to a large and loyal trade customer base, residential solutions to home builders and commercial solutions to the local business sector.
About the role:
We have an exciting role, where you’ll join a stable and well-performing team and enjoy the variety and opportunities of working in a small and experienced team, within a large organisation.
Reporting to the Branch Manager, this is a varied role that will see you working closely with your customers, who are made up of tradies, businesses and home-owners.
While most of your role will be driving and deliveries, you will still spend a fair amount of time in the branch, receiving and sorting incoming deliveries, and serving customers at the counter. You’ll have the chance to learn our products, and this will give you the chance to progress in the branch, the business, and the organisation.
This is a permanent, fulltime role, working Mondays to Fridays with rostered shifts between 6.30am and 5pm.
To shine in this role, you’ll bring a customer-focussed attitude, strong work ethic and outgoing and honest manner to our business, and be prepared to work closely and flexibly with the rest of the team.
There is some manual handling required, and so you’ll need to be physically fit. A full, clean, class 1 drivers’ licence is essential, and a forklift licence would be a bonus!
About what we can offer you:
In return, we’ll offer you a good hourly rate and opportunities for overtime, excellent training and development, and a strong and supportive team environment. As Mico New Zealand is also part of Fletcher Building, there are great chances for career development, plus big-company benefits.
Applications close on Sunday, 7th November 2021 (unless the role is filled sooner).
• A full, clean New Zealand drivers’ licence is required.
• A full pre-employment medical, including a drug test, will be required.
• You must currently be legally entitled to live and work permanently in New Zealand, to be considered for this role.
We are proud of the incredible diversity of people who make up our business! As an Equal Opportunity Employer, we strive to create an inclusive environment for all our employees across our national network of branches throughout New Zealand.
