About the opportunity
Reporting to the Divisional CFO you will be responsible for delivering procurement outcomes through strategic approaches, this includes strategy development, market engagement, sourcing, supplier management and contract negotiation as well as establishing best in class procurement governance structures and tools.
The role will lead the development and execution of procurement strategies for Firth, Golden Bay Cement and Winstone Aggregates, to ensure that the Concrete Division and Fletcher Building is deriving sustainable best value from the relationships and ensuring supply risk is minimized
Key components of the role include:
- With the Concrete CFO/business leads you will own the strategic relationship with our key material and service suppliers, including supplier performance management and negotiation
- The role interfaces and coordinates procurement activities within the Concrete Division, developing, refining, creating procurement and expenditure controls and tools templates along with the written processes, procedures and practice notes for use on projects
- Establishing and maintaining the procurement governance structure across the three businesses within the Division
The scope of the role covers the supply agreements of raw materials, consumables, bought in products and services to our Manufacturing and Sales & Distribution sites.
To be successful in this role you will have significant experience in a similar role, or you may be in a similar industry and looking for that next challenge. Ideally you have had exposure to operating in a large, complex environment as well as having experience with electricity markets. You have a track record of implementing best practices and have solid business and commercial acumen.
Known for your ability to influence and communicate, you will be a highly motivated self-starter.
