Location - Work from Christchurch or any location in the Southern Region

Forman Building Systems has been delivering energy efficient quality environments for over 100 years. We’re a leading marketer and distributor of ceilings and interior wall systems; thermal and acoustic insulation; and passive fire protection products across New Zealand and have branches in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch.

The Role
Our Christchurch team are looking for an Account Manager with local market insight and industry know how to build on  both our customers and our own success. Working closely with customers in the lower South Island, you’ll report to the Regional Manager and have the support necessary to succeed, however be provided the autonomy to structure your own role to meet deliverables. Your core responsibilities will include;
  • Partner with our existing customers base to ensure we are providing complete solutions and packages based on individual needs
  • Identify and build new relationships in the market
  • Providing technical assistance and solutions to the industry, adding to the customer experience
  • Implement regular call cycles and site visits, providing up to date, informative and accurate advise on our products

About You
We’re solution providers and looking for someone who can deliver excellent service to our customers. The role focuses primarily in the interior fit-out, design and architectural segment, hence we’re ideally looking for someone with knowledge of or experience in this sector. You’ll also need;
  • To be comfortable with identifying and developing new relationships in the industry 
  • Ability to understand customers business and offer relevant and informative solutions on our product range
  • Technical mindset to understand and apply our product knowledge to customers’ needs
  • Knowledge of sales planning, budgeting, and operational finance
  • To be self-motivated, a team player and an exceptional communicator
