Works Completion and Compliance Manager – Puhoi to Warkworth

The Pūhoi to Warkworth project is a major infrastructure project to extend the four-lane Northern Motorway (SH1) 18.5km from the Johnstones Hill Tunnels to just north of Warkworth. 
Four years into construction, the project has entered the exciting stages of paving, finishing works, and connecting the new highway to the existing Northern Motorway. 

The project is recruiting for a specific and unique position, to assume responsibility from the current Works Completion and Compliance Manager when they return overseas. This is a position that is imperative to sign-off for opening the motorway under the Public Private Partnership contract governing this iconic project.

Key deliverables for this role:

Ensure the following key Quality Assurance System (QAS) aspects are defined, implemented and managed on the Project;
o Governance
o Compliance
o QAS 
o Works Completion
Develop and maintain systems, process and documentation supporting the QAS aspects listed above.
Provide management and administrative support to the Project Delivery & Quality Manager.
Co-ordinate and manage the roles and responsibilities of the Works Completion Co-ordinator.
To ensure QAS requirements and systems are met, liaise with the Project Delivery (Quality), Construction, Engineering, Commercial, Environmental and Health & Safety Teams.
Where required, interface with the Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV), Independent Reviewer (IR), Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency (WK) and external organisations such as Auckland Council (AC) and Auckland Transport (AT).
Monitor and report on all QAS and Works Completion related aspects. 
Develop and deliver appropriate training for internal teams and external organisations on the QAS, Quality and Works Completion processes. 

Required background for this role:

Strong major civils project close-out experience
Strong systems proficiency in all MS Office products as well as SharePoint
Strong understanding of Aconex
Deft ability to work across multiple disciplines to create a positive culture around QAS and 
Works Completion documentation
